Random Monday

1. Javi says that Ama sleeps like me. I say he's lying... But i guess I don't watch myself sleep. And I've had many times where people try to talk to me when I sleep. Something about sleeping with eyes open.

2. And heres some of the random 20 pics AMA took while we were trying to keep them busy while shopping for a dress. Which is another story to tell.

3. I've also learned that some stores think that big voluptuous girls like me need to just look horrible in dresses they only sell in my size. Might as well just drape a sheet over me and cut a hole and ad some color to it. Jeez not a fun time. ( no picture here/ blah)

4. And it's official I'm buying Lala clothes from the junior section:(. She is to big for the kid clothes and fits in the small size for teens. So sad. And her shoe size is just as big as a teen size 6 1/2. And u know what that means.... Its more expensive aye.

Netflix saved my meal.

I'm not one to encourage my child to play on the Wii for hours and hours a day. I don't encourage my other 32 kids to play Wii on their free time. I dislike when my conversation that I'm having with someone is not as important than playing on the phone. I don't like seeing DS etc.. being played constantly. But ... sometimes in life you change. Sometimes people change. And I'll be first to admit that I can change too.. especially when it comes from ... my iphone... because it saves our meals.

Long story short.. .. we went out to eat at a restaurant.   And remember last time we went out to eat... DISASTER ZONE!! Food and FOOD and FOOD EVERYWHERE!
Well we wanted to have a great meal without leaving it on the floor.  And we wanted to have a yummy meal without it getting cold before we were able to take a bite.  And we wanted to sit and talk and sit and eat and feed them and feed us and have a regular dinner.

AND You know, you know when you go somewhere to eat it takes a while to get to the table and we start with appetizers and drinks.   So by the time the meal comes the kids are tired, hungry from not eating or full from the appetizers and just plain restless... SO by the time the meal comes... All HELL BRAKES LOSE.

Well... it didn't... because of technology and netflix... our meal was saved.

YES... OH YES I WAS THE MOM WHO HAD HER IPHONE OUT AND PUT ON NETFLIX SO THAT THE KIDS COULD WATCH DIEGO AND DORA.

AND YES.. I'LL BE THAT MOM WHO WILL NEXT TIME WHEN THEY'RE RESTLESS AND DONE WITH THEIR MEALS BRING THE IPHONE OUT AGAIN (but this time with headphones in my purse so that they can hear it better).

AND  I don't care if I get the dirty looks from parents saying how dare you bring out the phone for your kids and not spend quality time with them.. (Cause really I do already spend quality time and I want to make sure we ALL have a warm meal.... ) I won't feel guilty.. I won't I won't I won't.

Because Netflix and Iphone... saved my meal.

What time is it... Wednesday..WORD

Its that time again... Weather.. still kind of cold.. but at least it didn't rain.  So its time to bring the crew out for soccer time. :)  They love, we love it.. Plus we get to see the soccer family.

You know how people say..oh you drive a van .. you must be a soccer mom.. you know those soccer moms... blah blaah blah blah blah.. And really I don't have any idea what they are implying... So if they mean...
"Oh you know those soccer moms.. the ones that take all of their kids..so they can play with eachother and get crazy."
"Oh you must be a soccer mom.. cause you go to the games scream at your child to play harder and do a good job and your right leg is bigger than the other because you are always kicking when your daughter is kicking.."
"oh you must be a soccer mama cause well you have hella kids.. and even when you feed them they always seem hungry."
Well then yup.. I guess I am.  Cause thats us.. me.. a soccer mama.

But now Javi is signing up Papos to play football.  Gonna check to see if he is ready.  And so today he had the cones out did some drills. Too bad  I didn't take pictures.. but I did take some warm up pictures of excitement of signing up.  So I don't know what  a football mama is gonna be like. I'm scared, nervous and excited all in one.  Javi told me I can't be a paranoid mama and run out in the field if he gets hurt.. Um.. Hello has he not met me.. You know my ass is gonna run.. ok maybe not run out in the field .. but scream and yell and... oh ok.. maybe I'll just.. not sure what I'll do... It's my mama instincts that will drive me.

And recently Javi and I have been in a bet with my sister in law and bro inlaw.. to see who loses the most weight.  So its been motivating me to go to the gym the past few months. And I have. But its hard. And now I hate it.  The only time for me to go.. is during crucial family spending time.  I'd rather be home with the kids helping out with the night routine.  But no I go to the gym. And now I blame the gym for the babies wanting to be with Javi.  I hug them, kiss them, play with them... but when we do .. let's see who the baby will go to game.. He goes to Javi. I blame the gym.. Damn gym.  So who needs to be healthy... I rather be with my babies.. Can't I workout when I sleep.  geez.  Another mama invention someone needs to come up with.

Oh and Ms. Thang loves Monsters Inc.  So do the big kids.  But in certain parts she still gets scared and runs to me or behind the couch.  So is it cruel to watch the movie just so I could cuddle with her...ok ok I don't do that intentionally but when I want to win the in the ..lets see who the babies go to game.. I know how to win... Monsters Inc. Thats the key.

Lookout weekend cause..there it went.

This weekend started off great.  Friday I was handed something "special".  Just gonna wait to see what happens next.  I also was notified by a grant that I applied to um... years ago and that were suppose to be paying for my college loans years..ago..... well now they are playing catch up... So they're gonna be paying them soon. Yay... And well it was Friday.. Can get any better than that!

Saturday was our full day.  Its when we start folding the laundry type day, even though we started washing on Thursday but don't really finish till Sunday and then really don't finish at all because there is still a basket left to put away... Yeah it was that kind of day.  It started with a Baseball game and ended with a day at the mall.  I swear that trip to the mall could motivate me to write what not to do when you go to the mall.  But then again what worked for me one day definitely didn't work for me yesterday..

Lets just begin with our dinner date.  Last time we went to the mall we were able to go out to eat at Fresh Choice (all you can eat salad/pasta place).  Last time it went great. Kids did great. We did great. It was awesome.  We ate. They ate. We sat. They sat. We talked. they Talked. We laughed.. well you get the picture.  This time around it wasn't so much what we expected.  It was disaster zone.  First we had to move from our original spot were we sat because for some reason I thought it would work to sit in a small corner area were we were kind of squished but I figured it was a corner area and the kids couldn't go everywhere.. ...boy  I was wrong.
Then we sat Ama by me and Santi next to Javi.  Gave her her plate with food.  Little did I know she was in the mood to not want anything from her plate and want to only eat the ranch dressing that I had in a small tray.  She was in the mood to grab whatever was in sight to dip, suck out the ranch and spit it back out.  I didn't see the beginning when she started because I went to go get a fork... but when I came back I saw a table well.. a table full of ranch and other things.
I wish I could have taken my camera just to show the aftermath of what a little girl could do.  And that was still with Javi and the other kids there.  Santi is also at a stage were he likes to feed himself.  He starts to growl if we try to give him his food.  He likes his independence.  So we gave him some pasta, some bread, some eggs, some pizza a little of everything.  And we moved him around because he wanted a little from everyone's plate.  So he rolled in his high chair.

And when we looked down when we were done with our food.  All we could do was apologize to the hostess.  Javi even asked her if we could use a broom or small vacuum to clean it up.  It was um... pretty bad. Leaving the restaurant was a moment where I wish I could've had my camera.  Just to take a picture of what we created.  Art of food on the floor.

Sunday was short and sweet.  I say short because we lost an hour and it seemed to go by too quick.  And it started with Ama getting into our piles of laundry that we so nicely put in order.  She decided that it was to neat and that there wasn't enough chaos in the house.  So here we go..

And Santiago got a haircut.. Well really my mom held him and I did a quick uneven cut.  But you cant notice it because uneven bangs are totally in.

And the kids played a bit outside Sunday afternoon.

And while they played I mastered the technique of taking pictures while trying to solve problems with my kids.  Lala and Papos were arguing.. and I was listening and taking pictures.  They are at an age were they are annoying eachother more and more.

(Bet you can tell who was being the instigator... hint..name rhymes with Cha Cha)

And Ama had a walk around the compound .. and enjoyed looking at everything.

And I don't think I ever told you about my talented mama..Well we are very lucky cause my mama is the best.  She made us some quilts that we cherish so much.  Here is Ama looking at one of her quilts she made. (Gonna take pictures of the one she made for us.  Its in special colors that Javi loves.. Purple and gold.. loving it).

And after her walk around the compound she just stood there.. and enjoyed the peaceful wind in her face.  She didn't say a word, she didn't look at me, she just stood there with a sweet peaceful look in her face.
And the weekend.. came and... went..

It's Wednesday... WORD!

We went for a walk, a lovely nice walk... its been a week of coming home and going for a walk.    And one of those days was not an Ama day.  Ms. Ama decided that she needed her cup of water.  Then she said.. "No Aqua... Lele..(Leche)."  I said.. "ok Ama when we get back"
She said, "NO!" and jumped out of the wagon.
We just looked at her in shock like.. really is she really doing this.

And that girl.. oh that girl took off for her walk.. back home.  She didn't even turn around.  I followed her just to see if she did.. And she didn't..  Complaining the whole way about wanting Leche.. The girls heard her on her way to greet her and felt bad about her.  And she blew them off too.. In search for her Leche..Oh.. that girl.

This week has been a wonderful week to be outside.. but we have been attacked.  Attacked by those dang mosquitoes.  Remember how I said how much I hate ants... well add mosquitoes to that list.  I get chills when I see them and they make me want to run around like a crazy woman killing them all.  Poor Santiago was getting bitten when my dad rescued him from those blood suckers.

But he did catch one in the act.. and killed it and it was full of blood... hence the wipie with blood.

Also, my hero, my man... killed the mosquito that was about to attack us.  (and saved it for me to take a picture.. even though I almost died.. and almost ran around like a crazy head) My Hero!

And these girls..didn't see each other for a while like 4 days.. You swear it was like for ever... Probably never gonna leave each others side..

Little girls growing up

Today was a regular Sunday.  Busy cleaning, folding, washing etc.  I noticed that my dear Lala went in her room and closed her door and turned her radio on.  Now normally its not a big deal because she usually goes in and changes and then comes out. But today she was hanging out in her room.  It was a shock to me because I didn't want my little girl to grow up so fast.  Grow up fast?  How so? I know I overreact... And all these crazy thoughts were going in my head when her door was closed.  I thought.. She is writing in her diary about how much she is mad at us... She sneaked the phone in her room to call someone with the door closed.  She is in there combing her hair and changing her outfit 10 times... She is writing in a notebook I Heart..someone... Or maybe she is trying to sneak out.. But the worst one was she was trying to avoid us and stay away from the whole crew.  Which I thought all were totally possible.  I guess my biggest fear was that she was turning from Tween to teen...  And I didn't like it.  So I told Javi.. that her door was closed... and we knocked and walked in... And saw...
My sweet tween was combing her American girl dolls hair...

And Ama came in to join her.  I guess my paranoid, overreacting self.. needs to accept that sooner or later... all listed above will happen. I just hope not any time soon. Cause I like it when she plays.

And on Saturday while getting ready for the games.. all I heard Lala say , "Well at least it wasn't permanent marker!"
And all I screamed was, "AMA, WHAT DID YOU DO?"
And I walked in to her hiding.  So I knew something... something was done.  And she looked up.

and I knew... I knew.. next step to look on the wall.

And found about 4 different places were she decided to mark up again.. again..and again.. Although if you look on the bright side... We thought she was trying to write her name. :)

And little Miss Thing.. Now knows how to get out of the play pen from her naps... We knew it was almost time for her to be in a toddler bed.. but we figured she'd escape so the play pen..worked...it did work... it works no more.
